Ok guru's I'm working on installing the wiring on my 68 and I'm using the American Autowire "Upgrade kit". I'm at the very beginning and have already run into a conundrum. On the 500709 section (ignition) there are 4 wires, Red-battery, Brown-accessory-, Pink-ignition, Purple-starter solenoid. All of these wires connect to the bulkhead in according fashion except the starter wire, it is loose. There is a purple starter wire on the exterior side of the bulkhead that is supposed to run to starter, but gets no "fire" when key is turned (because the purple from the keyed ignition is going nowhere. Am I missing something? Is this an assembly issue from the factory? And of course, the only time I can work on it is after hours and weekends when no one is at AAW. See pics. thanks in advance for any and all advice/suggestions. diagram of the ignition switch here you see the wire from the switch going nowhere. here's a diagram showing the starter wire from the exterior bulkhead going to starter starter wire at exterior bulkhead
