Default Which after market air conditioner for 67 Camaro

I have just purchased a 1967 Camaro. It has the 327 cu. in. engine and a turbo 350 transmission. I live in South Texas and am wanting to add a air conditioner to it. I have read about Vintage Air and Classic Auto Air. Seems to be a lot of differing opinions on which it the better cooling wise and which is the easier to install. I am new to this forum and hope to gain knowledge from all members. Thanks

If you installing, go with the easiest brand on install.
If shop installing, go with the system cooling the most.
Vintage seems in being the most chosen brand.

Vintage was 4 weeks lead time. So I ordered a classic Auto from Jeggs. I have read myself to death on this. Hopefully I made a good decision. We shall see how easy the installation is and how it works. I am going to do it myself and will keep everyone posted as to the results. Thanks for your response.

It took about three weeks to get the kit. I have been working on it off and on for about a week now. Have the unit installed under the dash. Compressor mounted on the engine. Condenser mounted. Started installing the lines to the inside unit to the compressor and condenser and there seems to be a problem with the discharge tube and liquid tube meeting under the radiator. Have to check again to see if it is me or I got the wrong hard line.

Going good. Got the unit installed. Works very good and blows a lot of cold air. Had to do a few things different than the instructions but it all worked out in the end.

I'm new here, but recently had the vintage air installed on my 67 RS. I'm in AZ, and so far I have no complaints. I like how the slider on mine controls the amount of air flow to the vents. Slick unit for sure.

Mark at Precision Hot Rod installed mine. He’s west valley off of Pinnacle Peak near Lake Pleasant pkwy. I haven’t spoken to him in a while but he did an awesome job. Quality install.
