69 Camaro I bought new
My first new car ever was a 69 Camaro. I ordered it from a dealer and took delivery 10/29/68. I was a (poor) college student then and was really excited when it arrived. I saw it arriving on the delivery truck trailer heading to my hometown one Sunday night when I riding in a car going the opposite direction heading back to college. I knew it was my car and was right. I can still see it on that trailer. The vin is 124379N523153. I drove it 85K miles and traded it in 1975 in PA for a new "family" type car. I have used the National VIN search sites and it does not come up. Anyone have any other sources to try. It is probably a boat anchor, but curiosity is pushing me. Thanks. Gary

You could try Carfax for clues but the recent privatcy laws have made tracking down cars almost impossible. Being a rag top is a mixed blessing. One it may not have seen many winters outside. But if it started to rust on the floors and rockers it costs a LOT more to restore. Was it a Base model? Motor? Back in the 80's early 90's A lot of base cars where parted out because they where just not worth what it cost to fix the cars right. If it made through the 90's It most likely still around.
