i am in the procees of aquiring a 1968 camaro rs/ss that has no stereo in it...i need some suggestions on speaker placement...and amps.....i want it to have good bass...but dont want to fill the trunk up with woofers...

You can put speakers in the kick panels. The biggest that fit would be a 5.25 or 4x6s. If you want to put 6.5s you'd need to get custom kick panels which I've seen rick's sell.

6x9s in back and maybe pack a 10" sub or the like then you're set!
