Default 94 camaro speaker question

So I went out and bought some new speakers....And I went to install them today, and the front right doesnt work and the passenger seat wires are gone also. I bought the car used and was thinking that the wires may have fallen down and the person who hooked it up didnt install the stereo right. Are these two solutions possible? and how hard would it be to run the wires myself? I have access to any type of tools I would need

Those 2 are possible. However, the wires should still be in the door unless they have been pulled out. Most of the time you could get by with running 16 awg wire to your components or coaxles. Are you gonna use an amp or just power them off the deck. Also along the driver side floor, if you took of the rocker panels and pulled back the carpet you should have the 2 blues/yellow/brown speaker wires running to the rear. The door speakers are normally located behind the kick panels and run into the door. But as i stated before, i always run new wire anyways because factory wires suck (imo). Its not a hard job, just gets aggrivating going through the rubber boot.Oh what type system is in your car (Bose,Delco etc)?

Bose. I thougt about running new wire, but didnt want to rip apart everything just to get at the wire...which I may have to do anyways. I will be replacing them with pioneer's. Well...putting in pioneer since 3 of the 5 speakers are missing as is...I think that will be a project this saturday when I have alot of down time and not doing anything. At the present time i am just going to run them off of the deck. I have other things to pay for first (college) Thanks for the reply

Are you going to run an amp? If you are then beef up the gauge of the wire. If not standard 16-18 guage will work. It's not hard at all to run new wiring, unless it's in the door.

if you are running amps to run subs and your othe speakers i would run 4 gage from the battery back to a splitert then 8 gage from the amps myself thats what i did take a bit longer to run the larger wire but you send more power from the amps i hear you can get away with smaller gage but i like thie big stuff myself,,

No he was saying the standard (factory)wires suck.So yeah you can run 16 awg wire to your doors.Only time i ever run big (8 awg and above)was to my subs. But for your application 14 or 16 would work.Later if you added an amp to them, you still would be ok.

You may run into problems down the road if you install those speakers. The bose stereo in your car is not for standard speakers. the ohm load is like 1.7 or something wierd like that so they may work for a while but will eventually blow those new speakers you put in 1 by 1. I ran into the same problem with my car when i bought it. I would recomend getting a deck with the speakers or going to a local stereo shop and asking them if there is a way to use those speakers with the stock headunit. Good Luck
