I am trying to install the OEM automatic shifter in my wife's '67 Camaro. Someone had put in a "slap-stick racing shifter, and cut the floor pan! I have the correct original shifter, and shifter rod and trans lever from Year One. My problem is the shifter lever that the shift rod attaches to, hits the transmission case on the side, near the extension housing! Do you have to heat and bend the OEM shifter lever, or can you purchase an after market shifter lever that clears the trans case? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks ~ Les
