RE: 10 Bolt Rear End
OK In my 68 RS I now have a 327 . Last year I had a Auburn pro limited slip installed with a 3:55 gear and a performance alum, cover (10 bolt 8.2). Car has a t-350 trans. Long term goal it to buy a 383 stoker 400- hp crate motor and 700r trans. Car will never see the track with street tires only. I will not beat on the car to bad. (Hole shoot here &there) Will this 10 bolt hold up.

RE: 10 Bolt Rear End
In my current '68 I'm running a 12 bolt 3.73 posi. In my dad's '68 he has a 10 bolt 3.73 posi. His engine setup dynos around 425. He was worried about durability as well. Uponthe suggestion of a local drag racer we installed a Summit differential support cover (see link below). It will fit the 8.2/8.5 in. 10 bolt rear and has 2 high strength bolts that run through the middle of the housing to prevent breakage. Unless you are running extreme HP I would not worry about your 10 bolt. If you are, install the support cover and I think you'll be great.
