Driveline whine - ZL 1
Hi All,
I've got a 2015 ZL 1 bought new in the UAE. Basically since new the car has had a whine or humming noise coming from the rear. The sound reminds of sitting in an old Taxi being driven around some backwater. Makes me think its the diff. Its most obvious in the range of 80 - 110 kph.
Its been to the dealer multiple times in an attempt to diagnose and fix the problem. It has had a Diff overhaul, Oil changed a couple of times, but the noise remains. Dealer is now lost and has no idea telling me its the tyres. Not likely as these are the original tyres. The car has around 29000 km on the ODO. I think my next plan is to do multiple quarter mile runs to see if I can break whatever is whining, and just get it replaced under warranty(I'm covered for a couple more years??).
Other than this minor distraction, I love the beast!!!
Has anyone else seen similar issue??.....And what was your solution??
