I tried 93 and 95. I try 92 (88 89 90 91 92) tomorrow. I was messing around with the different years and inputted something to the effect of a 93 truck and it locked up for a min and came back with i think 43 codes. But if I remember correctly when I scanned it years ago, the fans would kick on when you powered up the scanner.

anyways i will try the other years and report back.

Thanks for the help!

yes the fans come on when it goes into diagnostic mode. i called the company rep and the guy took me through a few years and he had me do a truck one. nothing happened until we tried the 92. i would think a 94 would be a 93 94 95. could depend on the scanner though.

92 worked!!!!!3 codes 23, 27,28.

And I found those codes lead to a blown 20 amp air pump fuse in the engine compartment. I replaced it a week or so ago and now its blown again. I just replaced it again and put 40 miles on it, so far so good. no engine light and the fuse is still good.

Thanks for your help....

23 is a low reading at the intake air temp sensor, 27 and 28 are quad driver codes. strange that the air pump would cause any of them. my air pump kept blowin fuses, the pump/fan was shot. scan it again in a day or two and see if its still throwin codes. low temp on the iat sensor can cause fuel consumption issues.
