new brakes?
i have a 96 base model, and i really want to get rid of those UGLY rear drum brakes and possibly the front ones, with a spiffy new set. where do i find the parts? and what do you guys think would be good for my car?
um........ well for the front you could always paint them (black?) thats what i do.... and for the rear..... it has been done, you just got to run all the brake lines, and get all the hardware. what would be easy is to go to a junk yard and get the whole rear end out of a z28.... (posi andhigher gears too, 3.32 or 3.42
instead of 2.73 or 3.08 [:'(]) then just run the lines.

Find another 4th gen rear with Disc brakes and Limited Slip & 3:23 or 3:42 gear ratio and bolt it in.Nothing has to be changed on your car. These rears are cheap and should be in the range of $200/300. If you can do the work yourself, great.
haha. word. i was under the impression that you could buy a set of new brakes and everything you need aftermarket. but i'm digging the finding the rear end thing. i'll check around my local junkyards and stuff. thanks dudes.
