Thanks for telling me my answer wasn't stupid lol,I agree with bill if there is rust and corsion (sorry im a bad speller)the light will not get the power it needs to light up but if that dosent work then maybe a wire was pinched our cut when it was damaged, But i have never worked on a 4th gens tail lights, Cause i drive a old *** camaro and nothing is sealed from the water and dust, But i would give it a try and if i dosent work just make a nother post LOL. Good luck with the camaro.

Tony

i agree, drill four small holes in each light, it will drain the water and let the lights breath and not get foggy.

can u open it, dry it out, and then put it back together and seal it with silicone? or will that not work?

well, it happened to both sets of lights... so, either all after market lights are made poorly, or it is really the socket or whatever. i doubt its the seal

Get some OEM lights if it really bothers you that much, Ive never seen OEM lights leak like that unless they are cracked.

thats the problem with mine.. for some reason the reverse lens started to come out a little, like the seal was bad. I had to take it out and reseal it but i guess i'll need something a little better.. i used some silicone, and it didn't look bad, but it didn't completely do the job. Hopefully i'll jsut buy some newer ones though..
