Default a little help on fitting vette wheels

I just added a 95 Z28 to the garage as my project car. It came with the "saw blade" Corvette wheels. I just picked up a set of Z06 "motorsport style" black rims and tires. Thye were previously on a 98 Z28. I can't seem to get them to mount properly. Is there some type of adapter needed? The prior owner said they mounted fine on his 98

thanks in advance

Is there something keeping them from going on properly? From what I have read, the hub centers on 98+ are smaller than those of 93-97. You may investigate that as a cause.

thanks, that seems to be the culprit. Now to try and get my money back and find another set.

Hey - if the hub centers are smaller on the '98 than the '95, then you might just get away with a good set of hub rings instead.

first, thanks for the feedback. I just spoke with a rim/tire shop and they say some folks buy wheels and have them bored a little at machine shops in order to fit onto the hub.

Since it appears that the 95 hub is larger, is that my only option, to have them bored? Again, these wheels came off a 98 Z28.

When I get back home,I need to go back and check the fronts to see how they fit. I'm out of town and the car is not a daily driver, it's to become a cruise night car but right now, I can't cruise 5 feet in it with wobbly wheels...........

thanks in advance for the help

Update, I just found on tacrecreationusa.com website confirmation that the opening of wheels on 97 and above F bodies is 70.5 mm while the hub face on 93-96 F bodies is 70.75 mm. for the rear axle. I need to get to a machine shop and have the opening enlarged. it should run me under $100 total as I only need the rears done.

This should make a sticky or something as it is good to know.

thanks again to all
