Halo lights and clear corner lens
Just ordered some new headlights and corner lens but heard the install is a pain in the ***. Don't actually have the parts yet but anticipating trouble. Is it really that difficult or was my friend just retarted?
Wiring shouldn't be difficult. Just need to figure out when he wants the halos to come on, and go from there. I'm not sure how hard the install for clear corners would be on 98+ though. I've heard you can change the bulb from the top, not sure if you can get the signal housing out that way also. If you had to get it from the bottom, that would be the most difficult thing.
well, I 've done both on my car as you can see in the sig. Actually I went a step further and installed HID's on the Halo's. the lights are easy, there is really only 1 bolt on the back of the light housing itself which is on a black bracket. then you may have to mess with the Up/down and Left/right adjustment screws to pop out light. Getting them on is a bit hard as the back of the housing has 2 tabs that slide into that same black bracket that has the screw and then adjusting the lights after they are on kinda sucks too. I wired the halo's to the smaller bulb (194) that is in the turn signals which you are now switching to clears. Don't wire it to the bigger bulb as it may have to much current and will blow the halo ring bulb. Especially with DRL's. But the small bulb has only 2 wires, splice them and tie in the 2 halo wires then electrical tape thecrap out of it. Now whenyou turn on the parking lamps ...the halo's turn on with the clears but the lights don't. when you turn on the lights the halos will still stay on.
The halo's may leave a larger gap between the body of the car and the front clear plastic part of the lamp. that drives me nuts but I have gotten used to it.
The clear corners are done after you remove the headlights, its easy access, but poping them out after being unscrewed, can be tricky you have to kinda pull on the whole panel so the corner tip of the light can come out. Oh I also recommend you get RTV silicon sealant , I think its black in color and sold everywhere. Get a small tube. On the clear corners you may want to put some around the bulb connector/holder thingy so that when you snap it back on the clear corner, a seal is formed and no moisture goes in. Clears are nortorious for condensation.

I'm no electrical genius by any means, but lights draw current, not have current forced into them. As long as he doesn't wire it into anything with higher voltage than the halos can take, they should be fine.
I actually Just got my Halo headlights in today. I'm not going to lie, It was a pain in the *** getting them out. However, My headlights didn't come with instructions, and I have to figure out connecting my Angel Eyes to my running lights tomorrow.
It took about 30 min for me to put them in.
Actually, I wouldn't settle for the gap in mine, so I adjusted the headlights so they point at the ground and fills up the gap.
