Default fiberglassing a hood

when i bought the car it came with a hood that had the scoop just mounted on and painted over. its cracking where then put it on. i was just wondering if i fiberglassed it onto the hood with taht stop it from cracking or would i be better off just buying a new hood from summit or so

Send some pic's, fiberglass does wonders so it may be able to be done. May just need some rivets and some fiberglass. and by that do you mean the cloth and resin or the bondo with the fibers?

Ok, he is probably usin the cloth. if he's doing it then thats your best bet. Just about anything can be fixed with fiberglass.

my question to you is, how good of shape is the hood in and is the hood steel or glass? if it is steel, you will never get a good job out of it. you are probably better off just buying a new hood because usually trying to 'glass a scoop onto a hood, no matter how good of a job is done, it doesn't last too long without cracking again.
