Default brake dust removal

hey guys, any info on how to get rid of brake dust thats caked onto the inside of my rims.. the inside looks like it hasnt been cleaned since 1987 lol.. i tried using a Brillo pad but it took about 2 hours to get about 4 inches perfectly clean.. i used black magic wheel cleaner injunction with it as well.. any ideas to make it an easier job?..besides sending them out to get cleaned lol
