i was with my friends the other night at this car club that everyone meets at on saturday nights and my fellow graduate rolls up in a brand new srt8 charger. well these 2 mustangs were goin to race and bout 8 other cars followed to watch the race. well me and the srt 8 were two of the 8 {i have a 99 ls1 z28}. me and him got beside each other at a 20 roll and he honked 3 times and as soon as the race started, i steadily pulled on him the entire time till 130. it made me feel pretty good cause i didnt think i had a chance. just thought i would share my experience with yall.

 

your car is much lighter, and builds similar power to his car, good job though beating a car narly ten years newer, goes to show how far ahead of their time the 4th gen f-bodies were

 

yea, my car has surprized me alot. i havent lost a race yet. the closest i have come to losin was a wrx with a massive turbo and bout 100 horses to each wheel and it was dead even

 

they will move, the LS motors are amazing as far as I am concerned, considering the car is a couple hundred pounds heavier than a Mustang GT from this year, ten years older too, and it will outrun one by almost 8 tenths, they were a car built right for sure

 

the sad thing is the SRT 8 charger has almost 100 more horse power than the ls1

 

and a lot more BEEF

 

ya well thats the sad thing .....

 

this may be a bad analogy, but its like a girl with a nice face who also happens to be about 70 pounds overweight, the potential was there, but it got out of hand lol

 

thats pretty funny

 

The SRT8 is heavy and has the same short fall the GTO and thenew COBRA theyhave great engines but are infat *** car fat as in not a good kind of fat. I think the 8s are runing high 13sin the 1/4 could be wrong.
