Well I go to pick up my lil brother from school.Out of no where this kid comes to my car asks me to race. So I ask was him what he has. He tells me a charger srt8 super bee. I ask where we should race so we find an area with no cars out in the boon docks. From a stop he gets me by about 2 cars and from a roll the same.After we race we pull over and talk about eachothers car he has an intake and catback. He says he runs a 13 flat. Does this sound about right for the mods i have?

what i was told when i bought the car.

 

i dont know about 13 flat. a full out lt4 wont quite run that. the charger should be able to hit that i think, but maybe the kid couldnt push it there.

 

There was a brand new Charger SRT-8 at the Mile High Nationals here in Denver this year, it ran a whopping 14.7(equivalent of a 13.8 at sea level). To put things into perspective, that's exactly what my car ran...on my first run ever. It sounds like you may need some practice or he's packin' more mods than he's letting on to. I'd be willing to bet that your car is making more power than a stock LT4, especially with ported heads and the hotcam, providing the port job was done well.

 

the srt-8 has 425 hp. it should do better than 13.8.

 

it packs power, but weighs a couple tons. The sherrifs office here where I live is driving Chargers with 6.1 Hemis, and they are about a 13.3-5 car

 

That Charger SRT-8 weights over 4100lbs so i think they are about 13.5-13.8 and 97 camaro weight a little over 3400lbs

 

High 13s is what i have seen at the track thats in NC 2 hours from the coast.

 

if your car has the mods the previous owners claimed it should be a near 12's if not in them...
