So my uncle just picked up a 2010 mustang convertible gt 5 speed automatic and I feel like I need to see what its got. I have a 1997 4th gen 3800 5spd and I am just wondering if its worth my time or if its going to be like a racing a metro against a maclaren? Ive heard that the 4.6 litre mustangs engines have almost nothing in the bottom end which is why I was even pondering this race.

By the time we race I may have my car running a safe shot on the bottle. Not sure if ill go that route yet so assume not.

If you aren't running a bottle, the GT is going to leave you by 2 maybe three cars max. If you run the bottle, maybe dead even or you would win by half a car depending on how much you run (nitrous). 50 shot (safe) would make you keep up with him but still think the GT will get you, 100 shot (borderline safe) you should either be in front by a car at most. The '10 GTs run high 13s while your 4th gen V6 runs mid to high 15s so you need to improve by almost 2 seconds. Then it all comes down to driver....

Lol ok, so not really worth racing without a bottle I take it. I figured that is what I would get for responses. I may still race just for fun, but it would be sweet to have a bottle and take down his 30k mustang with my 2k camaro.
