Well it was a voodo cat sticker you know guys come on with stickers you gain like 30hp. And since it is a gutted cat with a cat sticker you get the bonus of 10x that amount...lol.

See, what I mean? I didnt know that. So does it matter what kind of stickers or...? I have a few edelbrock stickers and a holley one..or two.. and one that says something about weber 48 IDA or something idk. anyways, I know that, at least I read that lunati has a line of voodoo cams or somehitng and if that is the voodoo sticker then it makes sence nd I have the other ones, so if I have multiple stickers from diff companies, ... does it matter if thier product is actually in my car or?

Ugh! How many times do I have to explain this!

Stickers don't give the same hp increases that you get from a 4 cylinder. It's a decreasing exponential with respect to number of cylinders. When you have 4 cylinders you get at lease 1000x more horsepower than you get when you have 8 cylinders and the same exact sticker. Simple logarithmic curves people...*sigh*

power gains is proportional to (5-x)*x^y where x is number of cyl and y is the number of stickers. as you can see, having a 4 cyl gives you exponential growth with each sticker, 5 cyl cars (i think only BMW does that...) gain nothing from stickers, and 6 and above actually lose hp with the addition of stickers.

Volvo does 5 as well, but that's beside the point. I actually believe you have a slight error in your calculations, check for rounding and truncating errors early on in your derivation of the equation. When utilizing precise measuring equipment (butt dyno) and keeping track of all significant figures I came out to (4.899-x)*x^y. It seems trivial, but as we can see a 5 cylinder car actually gets a slight decrease in HP, but I don't even think a carefully calibrated butt dyno would be able to detect the difference on most cars, unless the number of stickers was completely out of hand.

To add to this, we can see by utilizing some basic partial derivatives of our function that dx/dt=-x^y + (4.899- x) x^(-1 + y) y and dy/dt=(4.899- x) x^y Ln[x]. By further examining these two equations we can see that as the number of stickers increases a 4 cylinder car will get the greatest benefit because it takes the least amount of stickers for the greatest power increase. Any car running more than 5 cylinders will eventually drop off to a negative infinity in HP, but in the 4 cylinder range the functions approach infinity. As you increase the number of cylinders, the drop off to negative infinity decreases in value (i.e. it takes less stickers to drop to a negative HP).

Lol why are we doing calculus trying to explain sticker gains? Basically... If you don't have a 4 banger, stickers blow Unless you're like me and you gots a GEO! STICKER MANIA!
