ok so i have a 96 camaro rs, v6 3.8L.. pretty much stock exept flowmasters and and K&N intake... and one of my co workers just got a toyota celica gt.. all stock... hes been talkin all this smack that his car is so fast and he raced some acuras and hondas and won and all that.. and he wants to race me... who do you think would have the upper hand here?

 

I say you win cuz those thing are slow as cold molasses and you probably have the same if not more hp and more torque. Is it just me or do those things look like a little cat that you just want to kick outof your way. P.S. I like cats in real life and would never hurt just those stupid Celicas though.

 

they make like 180HP and 120TQ..

 

AKA game over if you dont miss a shift (assuming its a manual) and your car is runnin right.

 

as i like to say... he could miss 2 shifts, stall the car once and do a chuck norris, turn around backwards move and still win....

can you say slaughter fest! unless he has a RARE Evo 4 Celica, it's going to be a piece of cake. the 3.8 is a match for slightly older 4.6 Mustangs, so that little Celica isn't going to stand a chance

 

haha thats what i wanted to hear... ive been practicing my shifts... all the gears are stock.. havent been messed with.. what do you guys think the best rpm is to shift at?

 

now the gts has a lotus motor and is quick as ****.

 

standard? uh, i always shift bout 200 before redline. but im called a rpm *****daily driving i shift at like 4500...

 

ya standars/.... daily driving i do 3000 3500... i do about 500 below deline when racing
