all depends, i've beat out a '83 Stang with the v8, and my '90 only had the 3.1 then. he had a horrid launch with way too much wheelspin, and i didn't really have the power to spin for long. it's all about if you can get traction off the line. now if it was from a roll, he would have been screwed.

some kid at my school was running his mouth about his mustang, so i raced him off a light. he's got a 2000 gt w/ a 4.6 v8 automatic. idk what his gears are. i got an 01 camaro, 3.8 v6 automatic w/ 3:23's. i beat him pretty bad, and he hasnt been talkin much anymore
yea thats like me saying I beat a v6 camaro with my 4 banger, not that some civics hasn't done that, but its not very likely. Either you are lying or that dude cannot drive. I know this is street/strip section, but can't you guys actually race at the track? I mean since you know this kid, why not set it up? Get the time slip and prove it.

83 is Carburetor if im not mistaken and now you are talking about two different generations. This 3.8 vs. an auto 4.6 didn’t happen. You’re talking around 70 hp difference and since he has an automatic it kind of limits his ability to be a crappy driver. And camaro burns all that good advice but it will fall on dead ears in this section. If you want to race on the street then that’s your choice you know the consequences but are safe about it. Stay away from traffic surfing and try to take it too the track. I think we have all lost some one from a street racing accident some of us more than others.
