Let us know when you run. I wanna see the outcome of this. My friend's dad has a 3.5 Altima and everybody who's been in it says it pulls pretty nice. So would be nice to see how it goes against an Auto 3.8, which is what I drive.

Nissan Altima 3.5 SE 2002 specs

Would this be a good race with my 3800?
Manual 5spd.
General ricer, anyone with any experience with these 4-door race cars?[&:]
i think you mean 6-speed.

and up top, that Altima WILL rape you. they top out at 148mph bone stock. if he can launch well, you're screwed.

We raced last night, record for me was 2 losses 1 win.
It honostly pulled harder than I thought.

Anyway, the first race was a dig, but I didn't really launch, the light was going to slow and I didn't want to rev it out forever.
He took me by about 1-2 car lengths at 60, he's a good driver, but he can't launch for hell lol. Lost traction all the way through 1st.

2nd race was from about a 20 roll, really weird spot for my gear, both of us got weird launches on the last honk. About 2-3 cars at 75 when I let off, but of course he didn't, lol.

3rd race was from a 30 roll and I got a great start. Pretty much neck and neck until he shifted and I pulled him pretty good. His nose was at the back of my front tire until I let off at about 75.

Overall, the thing surprised me.
He's got the driver mod, but that car isn't going to last with him beating on it so hard.

Think if I had a good stall/3.73's or 4.10's I could have taken him?

Probably. If you're that close as it stands, adding those two mods (Both very effective acceleration mods) should put you ahead of him.

a stall and better tires before gears. with the stall you're going to have even more traction problems than you do now. if you went with stall and gears before tires, you'll never get traction

put your seats back as far as possible, REMOVE anything from the truck, every 100lbs or so will lose you 1/10 of a second, IIRC, I can be wrong on that, but I think im close... Your better off having the less weight and pulling harder from a roll, than more weight in the back, caue its not going to make that much of a difference...

Lol, I've been doing the exact opposite [>:]
My seats are already as far back as they go, I'm pretty tall for this car lol.
I thought about removing my spare tire/jack but I didn't think it would be worth it.

I even threw my backpack in the trunk, lol.

No, dont do that, Take out the spare, and the jack, everything that makes any weight at all... Trust me, you may not "feel" the difference, but times will show them..
