If you want to talk about ford and chevy lets put the 3 valve GT VS the LS3 camaro. Both are around the same price range and will be in the same class. Camaro has around 100 horses over the GT plus a lot of guys will jump at the 6 speed vs the 5 in the mustang. The camaro will cost maybe 2000-3000 more but thats the only down side.
It also weighs a **** ton more...
Isn't it close to 4K+?
Course the new Mustang isn't a damn lightweight either...
[:@]
It pisses me off how all the new muscle cars have about as much more weight as they do power...
(I.E. Challenger, Camaro, Mustang...)
Just makes it easier for tuners to pick fights and win...
[&o]
Course when they weigh only 2xxx lbs and less it takes considerably less hp to keep up...

I think me and you are going to get along just fine. I agree just look at the new cobra and the LS2 GTO.

I'll admit it.. LS1 > than me (07 automatic mustang GT, Steeda CAI + Tune)

I've been telling people best bang for their buck is an LS1.. I have a few good reasonswhy an s197 was a better buy for me..I couldn't find an LS1 for less than 18k around here.. and I got a good deal.. and great financing.. and I love the look of them.. (I'd prefer a WS6 over a new edge though, hands down)

oh and the guy with full exhaust with K&N and runs 13.3 probably bought the wrong stuff.. and might need a driver mod too.. there is someone that hit a 12.9 with just an intake and a tune... which is getting close to stock LS1 territory

There are some factory freaks runing lower 13s. With traction and the M6 the LS1 can pull 12.9 passes bone stock other then the ruber.
