my 85 z28 project

RE: my 85 z28 project
we have an abandoned air strip where we race and been racing for years. Its all concrete with abut 5 or 6 lanes and about 1 mile long and the quartermile is marked. We just dont have any timing lights or equipment as such. there isn't 1 dyno on the island either. And for the traction issue..i have southside bars but thats about it for suspension. I also have the back of the car a little tall, not to much but i wonder if that would cause some weight transfer issues and preventing the car from planting the tires properly. I dont even think i'm running low 13's with my car which is strange to me.

ive heard good things about those heads
As far as traction goes are you using some kind of traction promoting chemicals? If not i would try to use some.

RE: my 85 z28 project
Wish i could get my hands on a pair of those. Its a couple years since i been building my car little by little so i dont have that kinda money to buy a set of heads. Apart from buying them i have to pay shipping to the caribbean, then i have to pay duty, then i have to pay tax, so it endsup being alot more than the price or the heads alone so i just have to work with what i have. I'm going to pulling the engine out to change the crankshaft which i already have a replacement for and i'm thinking of porting my heads myself..thats the only option i have right now. And thanx for the info..I will try getting some trackbite or something so and see how it works.
