Ok a friend and me were just getting out of work one day so as i pull onto the street he pulls up next to me in his Ford F-150 and revs so we both stomp on the gas. It's a single road to our work so we were in no danger of hitting another car. It had been raining that day on and off so when I slammed on the gas I just sat there and spun my tires and he drove off to the the stop sign. The next day I had to hear about the Ford that spanked the badass Camaro blablabla. Same situation, same friend and his F-150. I'm driving down the same street except it's a nice sunny day and I just catch his truck trying to pass me in my drivers side rearview mirror so again I stomp the gas but he's already on the gas when I spotted him. I hear my tires screech and I lose traction again but this time I regain it and as soon as I hit second gear I'm passing him and I come to a screeching halt at the end where the stop sign is. Got him this time and he gives me the bird. I got to rag on him the next day!!! Ha!

Have you ever seen or raced one of the newer chevy SS pickups?

 

No I haven't had the chance.

 

Yep, I saw one race a F-150 Lightning. Was an amazing race. The Lightning took a big jump off the line but then the SS started reeling it in very fast. At the 1/4 they were side by side and was to close to call. once the boards lite up it show'd the lightning won by like 5 thousaths of a second.

 

I know the Lightnings are pretty fast but I didn't think the SS had much of a chance with out mods. Was the SS modded in any way? I've seen a supercharged SS run mid 12's.

 

It was supercharged, I saw under the hood in the pits and heard it whining all the way down the track.

 

F-150s are nothing. I raped one of those in my 240sx when I had it and it was dang near stock, while the F-150 was sporting flowmasters and whatever else. He even got the jump on me cause he gave me no impression he was about to punch it.... alas, the 240 prevailed. They are nothing without their supercharger!

But as for Lightnings that's a totally different story.
