Default Duramax and Z28 both hit the track.

finally got some times for the Duramax on street tires, and for the Z28 after some "mild" mods.

i ran the Duramax three times, once on slicks, once on the stock tires (245/75/16's) and once with the Z28 on a trailer.

on street tires, 13.4 @ 110mph, 2.1 60'.

the slicks went on and i pulled off this: 1.70 60', 1/8th was a 8.22 @ 83mph, i royally missed 6th though. ended up with a 13.01 @ 108mph.

on to the fun pass though (and last one of the night) - truck and 25ft bumper pull enclosed car trailer, 2.1 60', 14.22 @ 102mph. combined weight of the whole rig and loaded trailer - 14,200lbs.

then there was the Z28. she's had a few goodies added since my last pass of 13.99 @ 100mph. it's kind of an LT1/LT4 hybrid right now, LT1 two bolt main block, with an LT4 (ported) topend. oh, and that little CC503 cam. dynoed 382rwhp @ 6200rpm, 378rwtq @ 3900rpm (it has a whole 8ft/lbs difference from 2600rpm-5900rpm).

on to the runs.

1st pass - spun like mad out of the hole, 2.3 60', 13.04 @ 116mph.

2nd pass - babied it out, 2.0 60', i might as well have been on a sunday drive, and ran her out the backdoor. 12.68 @ 116mph on a 245/50/16 street tire.

3rd pass - got out of the hole a little better, 1.98 60', 12.55 @ 117mph.

4th pass - borrowed DR's, all hell broke loose. 1.80 60', 12.01 @ 117mph. stock long block (350ci), stock stall, 3.23 posi rear, full weight.

i was just a **** hair shy of breaking into the 11's. all i've gotta say is damn, the truck won't feel fast ever again.
