I don't think you hijacked the thread considering you started it. Anyways I can't exactly say what you should or shouldn't get. But my brother has a 05 Stage 3 SRT4...and it is fast as *****. It dynoed at 330 fwhp and it has the stage 3 CAI and Borla exhaust and that is it. As far as the Neon legacy with it breaking he has had his for over 2 yrs and drives and races it everyday and nothing has broke yet. So to answer your question they are fast and can easily beat a 07 GT. And hp is about right for what it says from the factory.

Oh yeah.... you want one. Trust me. Im not gonna preach SRT-4 on a Camaro forum.... but trust me you want one, that is if you dont mind FWD. They are apples and oranges to camaros. Whole different attitude (badditude?). But if you like cheap, fast and reliable, with a plethora of aftermarket parts (would you say that I have a plethora of parts?) and if you like embarrasing the crap out of people with more expensive cars, then its the car for you. Wouldnt trade mine for anything, SRT-8 included. Just be prepared to do a lot of explaining over and over again anytime someone asks what you drive, and expect people to laugh at you till they ride in it, (strippers included... I know from experience), but dont worry, youll have the last laugh. And you can probably expect to be ripped on by the guys on these forums. Also be expected to be put in a category with a bunch of young spoiled ****** that like to run their mouths and not their cars.

How do you think I feel? I run mid-12s in a base model neon. Mine came with a cassette player and no A/C it's such a cheap car. No SRT badge to flaunt either. But when I pull up next to a mustang at the drag strip on stock rubber, it's a good feeling to know that unless I miss 2 shifts and launch at idle, I'm gonna win.

Im not a big fan of the neons, but i heard they are pretty quick. I still think they are ugly as **** though. My neighbor calls them the American throw-away car.

Ugly is subjective, but they are definitely one very small step up from disposable. Just take a look at any junkyard and how many of them are sitting there...
