Default z 28 vs. neon srt-4

i went to the track sunday and these guys flag me down in the pit and ask me if i would race their z-28. they tell me that there is someone in joplin with an srt-4 who was bragging that his car would blow them off the road. so i appologize to them for the idiot who was bragging, there are so many srt owners who give the good ones a bad name. so anyway the races were as follows.
1 st race :
me , z-28
13.98 14.02
100.76 99.84

z-28 switched drivers.

2nd race
14.20 13.88
101.24 101.40
i tried to launch at a higher rpm, so i spun my wheels. asked for a redo.

3 rd race
13.84 14.05
101.56 102.18

now those are the races i like , cars so close in performance that it's a drivers race. when i first started racing they were lining me up with slow *** imports or other cars that were drag only. the past 2 times at the track they have been lining me up with mustang gts, cobras, and camaros, even got to race an evo 8 3 times, beat him twice. the z-28 guys were pretty cool , i hope i gave them a good impression of what a non-cocky srt owner is like.

A 2002 Z28 running high 13's/14 flat? Where is your track? What's the elevation?

Do you have any mods done to your svt? I raced one before I rebuilt my motor and tore him up three times. I had done alot of bolt ons at that point in time. My best time then was a 13.2. I have not raced this new engine I just got it all finished a week ago. To me some of you guys do seem a little on themselves but I look at it this way at least its not an import and its somewhat of an american made car right?

my mods are : stage 1 pcm , agp wga , turboxs mbc , k and n cai , mopar sts w/ booger bushings , 3 " downpipe , ngk iridium plugs , mpx under drive pulley , msd 8.5 mm plug wires , bfg geforce dr's. yes it is american made. but some ppl think of these cars as imports because it is a 4 banger.

I live in Missouri and those times sound absolutely terrible for both cars; you should both be deep into the 13's at least, and that's if the Camaro is stock. Any reason that people were seeing slower than normal times?

i need to learn when to shift, this sat. i am going to try shifting sooner , i think i am over reving. as for the z i have no idea why its running those times.the track just got repaved last year so it should be good for racing on.
