Cobalt ss vs 96 z28.

the 2.4 was NEVER supercharged. only the LNJ was supercharged, it was only 2.0 also. the 2.4 is the "high end" engine in the non-SS Cobalts.

The LSJ is the Cobalt SS/SC. That is the 2.0L Ecotec with the Eaton M62 Supercharger making 205hp, 195ft/lbs of torque stock and traps an official 6.0 seconds 0-60, 14.0-14.4 seconds @ 100mphs in the quarter mile. The LT1 traps 5.8 seconds 0-60, 14.4 seconds in the quarter. The Cobalt SS N/A is the one that came with the 2.2L and the rest came with the 2.4L.
A LT1 and a SS/SC are drivers races stock for stock. I got a buddy with an LT1 and about 60k original miles and has pacesetter headers, cat-back and a CAI vs me and we are neck and neck. I would like to see an LT1 'waltz' over me.... haha.

Im not doubting you.... Just all the stock LT1s I have raced stock and now have always been neck and neck. Most of the time, I pull very slightly in third, maybe half a car length. But I can guaranty that I will reach 150mphs before the LT1.
I had a time slip of the only time I have ever dragged and I managed to pull a 13.8 in Sacramento with just a cat-back and autocross tires on the front. Just to say that an LT1 and an SS/SC is all murder in favor of the LT1 is not true. I like racing LT1s because they are a good match for my daily driver and I like Camaro owners in general because I was one a couple years ago.
