the way a diesel works it is not limited by octane. there is no pre-detonation as there is with gas motors. you are pretty much just limited by the strength of the engine components.

If his truck is anywhere near stock of course you will take him, but there are some really bad-*** Dodge Rams out there, such as #6 on this list, with 1400 foot lbs of torque at the wheels.If its something like that you've got almost no chance, particularly if he insists on a rolling start rather than from a standing start.

I did'nt mean it to be harsh. Just off the top of my head I can think of 4 or 5 low 12-high 11deisels around the Chicago area.

its a SS lt1 there essentially the same as any other lt1 other than the hood scoop
