i read an article in 2005? and the wrx performed even with the mustang cobra...if that helps any

 

why is everyone so scared of the WRX? i am a Subaru tech @ a dealership. a WRX in good shape with a great driver runs a 14.3 stock. the SRT4 ran a 14.2 with FWD only. don't get me wrong i love my subbies but a stock WRX isn't that fast. but they do respond well to bolt ons. now the STi is something to watch , they will roll. 300hp@ 6000rpm and 300 ft tq @4000 rpm.we have a guy that comes in and buys parts that owns a Subby tuning shop. he has a Sti making a dyno provin 503hp. so beware a Sti in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing.

 

What rear end ratio do you have in your car?

I know this thread is old, but i ran a WRX at a 20 rolla short time ago. The have the AWD and it got the jump on me, but shortly after i pulled on it like crazy. WRX is a decently quick car, but when it comes to a 4th gen. Z or a 99-2007 stang GT, they don't stand a chance, that is, if the WRX is stock. The one i ran had exhaust and intake.

well duh sti is a super banger like the evo but a plain old wrx for a freaking Z i beat one in my 97 V6 for a Z thats easier than pawning off candy on a special kid....

 

You had to have beat an Impreza posing as an Impreza WRX...

the non-STI's came w/ 227hp AWD...that would own a V6
