I have a 01 z28 A-4 with low miles.....My buddy has an 03 wrx with an up pipe down pipe and a cat back. It's a 5 speed and he swears up and down that he will take me. I wanan throw some money down to shut him up but i wanna make sure i got a good chance at winning first....Whos your pick for this race?

You should massacre him. LS1 vs a WRX? Please...it would be a close race if he had an STi, but a slightly modified WRX is a still more than likely a kill for a stock LT1. I kept up with a Subaru 2.5 RS that was turbo'd and had some other stuff with my stock LT1, and he was faster than WRX's and could almost keep up with STi's...I'd say your the winner providing you can drive ok...

 

There must be dead crawling cars where you live.
A stock WRX (non-STI) will run high 14's on a good day.
An 01 Z/28 should run mid to low 13's, if the driver is not a complete moron.
This should not even be race.

 

You should put buses on him.

 

you got this. i ran an 03 turbo (not sti) from a 50 roll and spanked him... if its a dead stop, he might pull you out of the hole, awd, but you will end up putting him in his place.. you most likely have a chance against an sti as well, just make sure the wrx youre running really doesnt have much more done to it.

 

dont forget, from a dead stop the wrx is gonna wax you... all wheel drive with little spooling time? all you're going to do is roast tires till he gets about 4 cars on you...
