uhh... LT1s were 350s. they werent a 346 until the LS based engine in 98. oh yea.. a 97 RS has 200 hp,that is less than an 85 z with 215.and im pretty sure a v6 is not pushing 275 ft lbs torque like an 85 z tpi is, so there goes that theory... and BIGZ most likely whooped that iroc-z, simply due to the fact that an 86 iroc is pushing 165 with a 305 v8. oops there goes that theory too. he never said it was a 350... he probly still wouldve spanked him with a 94 Z. i should know. BIGZwhooped that 86, and it will be a close race between the 85 and 4th gen RS. itll be a drivers race with the slight advantage to the 85

well when my car was stock, from a dig, it would loose to about half a fender to my mustang, do you have the Y87? if so you will deff take him, my buddys W80 still ran a 15.3 with a filter and muffler though, so i think you should have him

You are both pushing around the same horse, he may be pushing less. The thirdgen's weight difference is 400lbs. lighter than you, and their suspension owns yours. Unless you get a perfect start, your chances of winning are slim.
Only one year of the IROC came with 215HP. I don't remember which year it was. The rest were 190 or below. The kid may have a 350, but it's not an LT1. LT1 motors are 346's. and were not even made for a camaro until 93' like Dan said. The 350 I beleive was an Option, but it is not pushing anything more than 215, if it is stock And no he does not have more torque than you.
As for your car, You may have a few more horses, and torque, but don't let that fool you, the Thirdgen's are a force you don't want to reckon with.

the IROC will have between 215-235hp
Beautiful bar dows mine looks exactly the same only mines a Z and as for racing that iroc u should beat him. i killed an 86 iroc a few weeks ago

i dont understand how it was informative. LT1s were 346's? what? the 85 hasless hp AND torque than the RS? ok lmao.. and the 94 had to have completely derstroyed that 86. u have to be dumb or something to buy into this garbage, let alone support it.

OK we met up on a backroad. and measured off about a 1/8( i thinkit was off was probaly in betwwenn a 1/8 and a 1/4)of a mile....
My friend went between us and dropped his hands on go time
As soon has he dropped his hands i hit it...
I started spinning due to my bald tires and he won off the line...
I caught up to him real quick and passed him half way,,,
ended up beating him by a car and a half....
And guess wat.. He did have a v8 350.....
