02 stock z28 vs 200? wrx sti
I bought my camaro on a thursday. My buddy who owns a 200? wrx STI that is no where near stock, found out i bought the camaro. He asked me if i wanted to line up with him and try. I said ok....? Two days later on Saturday morning we go to an industrial parking lot, and line up. We had a friend arm drop us. We both leave with a little tire chirp and end up dead even the whole way. When we slow down go back to where we started and get out and talk. The first thing out of my mouth is damn that thing is toooooo slow for how much money you got in it. He told me he was running at 25%. So of course like any other man out there that has a pair hanging between his legs I said then stop being a ***** and run it. So we line up again and the arm drop happens. Now i am really pumped I jam on the gas and my tires spin out let go and go again. by this time he is already 2 cars ahead. I feel like i am flying down the parking lot but when i look at him it feels like i am standing still. he ends up crushing me by about 12 - 14 cars in an estimated 1/4 mile.
Well... as much as i hate ricers that gave me the respect to know what is out there so watch your money guys...

They are really quick out of the hole, but not so great from a roll. They are pretty heavy, and the parasitic drivetrain loss is horrible. I have a good friend with one wellover 400AWHP, and I can damn near keep up with him from a roll. From a dig would be a joke, of course.

They run low-13s stock, but it's all in the first 60'. From a pull, I was able to rip em open even on 7psi of boost and a stone-age rising rate fuel pressure regulator for fuel management.
