Will putting an exhaust cutout on your car cause valve float(valves dont fully close or open)since it eliminates the backpressure in your exhaust system?

Why are all these people worried about not having enough back pressure? Valve float comes from over revving the engine, not from the type of exhaust.

 

the pressure of the springs is what determines if you will float, this has nothing to do with exhaust backpressure.

Read the link below, it will explain some exhaust stuff. The idea is to run as little backpressure as possible. The "burned valves" scare comes from the fact that when you make your exhaust more free-flowing, less backpressure can make your engine run with a leaner fuel-to-air ratio. Older engines (that don't have a computer to adjust for fuel richness) would need to have the stock carb richened up a little, both for optimum performance reasons and to compensate for the lean issue (which is actually one in the same).
