Thanks for the input guys! I think I’m going to drop my block off at the machine shop tomorrow and see what they say. I’ll buy a new crank kit and pistons and slap her together. That’s the plan anyway. I’ll keep everyone updated as I get more news. Thanks again!

Well the block is good to go. Picking it up from the machine shop on Tuesday. Ordered replacement pistons, a new crank kit with king bearings from Oreillys, new timing set, ARP head bolts, Melling high pressure oil pump, custom grind 227/235...587/600 cam, Lunati double springs, LS7 lifters, and Lunati 1.6 roller rockers. Waiting to get the engine back together to measure for pushrods. I’ll keep you guys updated. Waiting for everything in the mail.

get the high pressure oil pump. high pressure, not high volume. pretty sure stock is. its what i used on a new block and it has had 60lbs from day one, after 50k miles it drops to 45 at idle when at operating temp but when working its still at 60.

No but I’ll install a lighter spring on the valves that I test so it doesn’t sink the plunger on the ls7 lifter while testing for length.
