Maybe so. But since the engine is coming out, I’m building it. Might as well while it’s out of the car.

Well here’s the list. Engine comes out tonight. As the block and crank aren’t hurt, which they shouldn’t be, this will be the build. Anyone have any input on my parts choices?

The only thing I would change on your list are the head bolts. Felpro are nice for a stock rebuild, but I highly suggest for the few extra bucks to order a set of ARP bolts and a bottle of their lube. It's cheap insurance and if you ever pull the heads again, you can almost always reuse them vs OEM which are good for one time only (unless you like to gamble like me the first time I had the heads off mine).

Also, Felpro should make a head gasket kit, which comes with everything but the oil pan gasket.

Ditto that,a full gasket kit should save you some money and you can spend that on the ARP head bolts.

Well here’s the damage. The bearings and bearing surfaces all look good. The ugly: two pistons got ate up and the crank has some damage. There are a couple of minor nicks in the cylinder walls below where the rings travel. I’m really not sure what to do now 😔
