She had one re-paint before I bought her with 176K miles and looked and ran pretty good for the miles and age.
222,000 miles on the clock when I let her go for this one, my 2001 SS.
This car only had 86K and still has only 87k now, many mods done so far and a few to go yet.
Here's the list:
Engine & drivetrain
Original numbers matching 2001 LS1 @87K miles.
2004 LS6 Corvette Z06 heads with Comp Cams double springs.
Comp Cams .617 lift. camhaft.
GM Performance LS7 lifters.
Comp Cams hardened pushrods.
Katech C5-R timing chain on new GM Performance sprockets.
Got the headers and y-pipe installed. Also threw the UMI control arms on. Here’s the pile of stuff that I took off the car during the process. The entire stock exhaust system. Notice the big hole in my muffler 😂 stock control arms, all the ac stuff, smog and egr, etc. Good times!
Finally got the car over the exhaust shop for a muffler and dump. Only cost $85 and sounds pretty good. It’s a little quieter than I would have liked but that’s alright lol
