Got the headers and y-pipe installed. Also threw the UMI control arms on. Here’s the pile of stuff that I took off the car during the process. The entire stock exhaust system. Notice the big hole in my muffler 😂 stock control arms, all the ac stuff, smog and egr, etc. Good times!

Finally got the car over the exhaust shop for a muffler and dump. Only cost $85 and sounds pretty good. It’s a little quieter than I would have liked but that’s alright lol

Thanks! I’m not 100% happy with the sound but I’m sure it’ll be sweet once I upgrade the cam

Yeah a cam will make a big difference, so will putting on some miles. That muffler will only be quiet for so long after some hard driving.

funny thing when i did my lt1 years ago cat back at first i thought not much change ,then i drove for just a day an relized how much louder fun engines

then when i did the engine swap 406 to true duals an 150 tlbs + over the the lt1 ,now its too loud for long rides ,is why i got the ls1 wich is even more quiet i think stock ,this week will remedy that. got to let them all breath

Craby, it’s a 30” Glasspack lol

406, it seems a little louder and deeper toned now that I’m used to it. I’m sure it’ll sound awesome when I get the cam in it.
