My 67 is a true RS/SS. The motor is not numbers matching, it is a 69 350 pushing out about 325 HP. The M22 4 speed and 12 bolt rear are original. The car was painted some time in the 80's. The rest of the car is original. About the only upgrade that has been done is the radio. All that adds up to a fun weekend driver not a show car.

1968 camaro rs/ss, frame off resto by david lord, GMPP ZZ383/425, hooker super comp LT's
custom 3" true duals with magnaflow dual i/o muff, m22 4spd, 3.73 gear, 12 bolt rear end, 17" torque thrusts, BFG rubber. And i dunno if this is relevant or not but the car has NEVER seen a drop of water/rain since the frame off. it is garage kept and gets very gently washed/waxed in said garage.

My Camaro is pretty much stock. Only mods are a set of header and Pertronix Ignition.
Original sheetmetal, interior and vinyl top. AM radio is still there and works just fine.
I am the 2nd owner and the car came with all documents for "#'s matching" info.

Now as always you guys can do pretty much whatever you want to in order to get votes. But don't go posting threads to vote for you in every section, that's got to stay in OT.

Voting ends at midnight central time on May 31st.

Good luck to you all, now lets get it on!

SpecterGT260 05-16-2009 07:34 AM

theres people in here I dont actually recognize. but I had to go w/ my brother in black ;)

evilkal 05-16-2009 10:36 AM

I had to vote for Camaro 69... Sorry Gorn and O but his car is just ridiculous lol. Mogvet made a 1st Gen something I never wanted to see... Nothing but a flashy show car and crappy wheels. I love Gorn's originality though. Nothing extreme or special. Just a plain jane 67 =)

SSV6 05-16-2009 12:14 PM

O got my vote, I see the most determination and drive there. It also helps that I LOVESS her :D

greenarrow 05-16-2009 02:23 PM

This month is just all really nice 1st gens, going to be a good race I think.

BLACKJACK 05-16-2009 02:42 PM

ummm...who do i vote for???...hmmmm.....frostlime69 got my vote, i love that color

marc104 05-16-2009 04:31 PM

I had to vote for Brian. His car has the clean, classic driver look, not too much show car flash, just what I want out of mine.

TY. It appears that the mods are more popular than the originals though. Very nice cars.

No need to knock Mogvet's ride or any other. Too much time and $$$ went into these machines for that.

BLACKJACK 05-16-2009 08:44 PM

yeah the customs are more popular these days...but i like all original cars, over full custom

02StanGT 05-16-2009 08:50 PM

Lots of pretty cars!

greenarrow 05-16-2009 10:59 PM

16 votes in the frist day, this is awesome. Spread the word around the forum and lets get every member we can involved in this.

And a bad attitude is like a virus... You wish it would go away but it's always gonna be there.

And my opinion is an opinion and nothing else. I don't car how much time OR money went into anything. I simply stated which car I like and which ones I didn't for whatever reason. Like me stating that I do not like the color of your car...

I was simply stating that I think it's TOO much on a 1st gen... Keeping it original is more my style. So if you have a problem with my opinionated posting, I suggest you take it up with a mod Mr. Bad Breath.

SSV6 05-17-2009 12:16 AM

^^^ Wrong side of the bed??? Calm down man, it's no biggie. I'm not a big fan of the show cars either, but I respect the fact that they've put so much time into making them their own. Just let it ride man.

frostlime69 05-17-2009 12:27 AM

Ease up on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

bowtieguy 05-17-2009 12:43 AM

I nominated mogvet because the car is immaculate so he gets my vote

hmmm...so where does mine fit in? its mostly original, but with a little extra kick in the pants ;)

BLACKJACK 05-17-2009 05:04 PM

the cars that look mostly original, with modern technology....i like thoes too...your camaro falls between frostylime69, and mogvet..but thats my opinion

brian_rs/ss 05-17-2009 05:17 PM

so a zz383 isnt modern? yeah so its carb'd but its still an old school motor redone with modern parts.

I like yours, but I still voted for O, she deserves it. We've actually been able to watch the progress of her car becoming what it is over time.

MusicMan 05-18-2009 10:25 PM

Camaro 69 ftw!

Tonylig928 05-18-2009 10:44 PM

yeah i can deffinately respect that. its too bad i didnt get into the forum scene till recently. and during the build i was pretty young(17 y/o)and really wasnt too camera savy, which is a shame because it was a great bonding experience for me and my dad and i wish i had more pics of it.

Camaro 69 05-21-2009 12:49 AM

Damn, what's with this 12 votes for Brian business?
I thought black cars were supposed to be excluded from this month's competition?

frostlime69 05-21-2009 10:15 AM

its a land slide

SSV6 05-21-2009 10:27 AM

Wow, looks like the new guy has this one in the bag.

brian_rs/ss 05-21-2009 01:55 PM

my bad guys, but hey there is still more than a weeks worth of voting time. and IMO every one of the cars running this month are ROTM material.
