New old project-1946 Austin gasser
Thanks Damon! Had to change it before painting because sometimes the receiver side of the Dzus fasteners would allow the fender lip to slip under it. Would have scratched the new paint eventually if I was careless closing the frontend.
It also took longer to open and close with 6 fasteners and I had to keep a screwdriver handy under the seat. This is quicker, no tools required, and looks more "factory".

Didn't get much car work done today, as I really needed a major cleanup in the canopy. The car was trashed also, so I rolled everything outside and blew the place out. Then opened the car and blew out the engine compartment too. Went and got some 7 mil. plastic and covered the engine compartment to avoid further dust there. Took all my tools and got them picked up and cleaned up too.
After that I masked off the windows and got the body ready for the final bodywork. Once that's done I can shoot epoxy primer and it will be ready to do finish bodywork.
