understood. thats why I got out of a neighborhood and moved 5 miles from town to the country and bought 7 acres. It was like.....let me see how this works.... I own my place but youre gonna tell me what kinda detached garage I can have, what I can park in my driveway and I cant have a basketball goal out front for the kids? yea screw that. even though my place was the best looking in the neighborhood and Im the only one that cuts my grass every week. oh well, hope the weather breaks for you soon. try to stay warm until then man.

yeah I hate being told what I can have on my own property. anyway it's supposed to warm up a bit this week so I'll try to get some work done.

I find some bit of humor in a neighborhood that doesn't complain if a guy works on his car in the driveway, but would complain if he was doing the same thing out of sight in a nice looking canopy. I can see them not wanting some makeshift POS that had blue tarps covering it, but most of those canopies are better looking than our cars all torn apart in the driveway!
I built my whole car in a canopy, and did the suspension rebuild on my Camaro in the canopy also. With a propane heater it was comfortable enough to work out there in jeans and a T shirt. Made one heck of a good paint booth when I did the bodywork and shot primer too!

Well it warmed up a bit today and I was free so I got some work done. I got the new tank in and hooked up. Flushed the fuel lines and changed the fuel filter. Then I got it running.

Yay! Sounds like you have a bad muffler tho.
Also sounds like you may have a valve going pitter patter. Heard a flutter in the exhaust, more so on the drivers side.

Exhaust? what exhaust? its cut off at the manifold lol. Yeah the drivers side is being a little weird. It needs some fine tuning but I'm just glad it's running and doesn't sound terrible.
