'63 Falcon project
You missed a great one Bill! Albany is always one of the best! Lot less junk than some of them.
ot sure why I didn't notice it right away, but I guess it was too dark out when I bought my scattershield. I finally dug it out of the back of the suburban yesterday, and realized it's a very old Lakewood 2 piece bellhousing! It's probably late 60's era, and has allen bolts and tabs that allow the bottom half to be removed for clutch changes. Pretty cool feature that I think was dropped when NHRA required them to be one piece, but I like the feature.

It also happens to be a dual bolt pattern, so it not only fits Chevy, but also BOP too!

The more I look at it, the more interesting it gets! Noticed today that it's also drilled and tapped to accept '55-'57 Chevy/GM bellhousing mounts too!
Don't think so. I can't see any evidence that there were ever any bolts in the holes. Still original red paint in the holes. It's just an early universal bell that appears to be made for just about any GM of that period.
Started on my winter upgrades for the Falcon gasser, and got a setback right out of the gate! Pulled the Super T10 4 speed and found two broken ears on the mounting bolts! Did a little investigating and realized the 11" bellhousing I am replacing with a Lakewood is not a car bellhousing! It has the 5.125" center hole for a truck trans, and the car trans have a 4.6" hole!
The trans was only supported by the ears on the 4 speed, so those hard launches at the drags broke two ears. Actually very fortunate that it didn't snap all 4 ears and launch the tranny out the back and really raise heck!
I've got a local fabricator that can really weld aluminum well, so I'll take the trans and the bellhousing over and have him weld the ears back on.
