except the fact that you would need internals similar to the regals in order to boost it to those levels. displacement means very little to a motor. its about whats inside. the camaro 3.8L is far from bulletproof. it will grenade under low boost conditions pretty easily without an upgrade to the bottom end

Wow, didn't know that. I need to keep that in mind when I build my V6. I believe that they are a stronger engine than other comparible V6's. You can build 'em to take a heck of a beating, but it is not cheap. I've been planning to build a nitrous engine for a very long time. But I had the bonneville back then, now I've got a camaro with the same engine. I guess the 3.8 is not as rock solid as I thought. Gonna have to do some work on the bottom end first.

from what ive read camarov6.com you can genneral get close to 10 lbs without to much upgrade....again i have a feeling sombodys gonna blast me on that but that is what my memory is telling me. but without continueing to re-enforce the engine at that amount of boost will not grenade it per say but will greately shorten the engines life.
