Are you trying to hurt my feelings? Because if so, you are succeeding. Fortunately, my feelings regenerate at twice the speed of a normal man’s.

just to make a point, a factory 3.8 can handle 10 psi of boost reliably. 15 if you want, but can create issues if done incorrectly. c/r is 8.5:1. its not a honda where it comes factory at 10:1 c/r

take a look at http://www.intense-racing.com/ if you are serious about upgrading your 3.8

Yeah but the thing is it takes, more money, more time, more labor and your car is harder to drive(ever drive a decent sized turbo car?) for something that will hardly keep up with an ls1. Plus you then have to run 93 octane, which some people cant even get and its hella expensive. Also turbos only run so long and you have to get a boost controller, If the controller fails and you see compressor surge that can be game over for a small motor, Or if your BOV siezes. Plus the plumbing and stuff you would need, i can only imagine trying to work on it. The BEST way to do this would be a remote turbo, and those are still new to the scene i think, (A remote turbo is mounted at the back of the exhaust, right before the muffler) and it would be SOOOOOOO god awfully expensive i wouldnt even want to watch someone try to build one just cause it would make my wallet hurt. Also a tune, you need one, new plugs, all kinds of useless expensive to replace stuff, and if i had to guess a new fuel pump thats a higher pressure, because a turbo compresses the air before it enters the motor, More air= needed fuel^ to not run lean and melt stuff. Speaking of melting when your turbo does go it can be a full catostrophic meltdown. Ie shrapnel errywhur. Oh and an intercooler to recool the air since the turbo will generate heated air. and maybe its just me but dont V motors need a turbo for each side. Oh and air fuel ratio gauge, so you can keep an eye on things, and a boost gauge to make sure your turbo isnt about to blow things up. Idk im sick of typing so enjoy that piece of brain food, im sure theres still alot more.
