Default Smog Pump Supercharger...

so, im the kind of guy that always wants to do something new to his car, but never has any money. i was looking up random things like leaf blowes and what not to make a make-shift supercharger, when i ran across some thread on the internet about a smog-pump. it says that if you hook up about 4-8 smog pumps in parallel, they combined will make decent boost for a V8, the guy said he does it often on motorcycles with 1 or maybe 2 smog-pumps, and he said with a V8 he tried and said that at about 6 of them you notice a great deal of boost, now there is alot of making you own things to do this, and he said it will need an inter-cooler bc they arnt really made to spin that fast, but if the intercooler and everything works, he said these should be a beautiful supercharger for around $150, any thoughts? lol

Yeah, that people shouldn't have any thoughts about car modifications after smoking pot. (not you, the other guy)

Did they have pictures? That sounds like something to see. It might work on a lawn mower engine, but...
A 350 engine, at the upper rpm's, is moving cfm's somewhere in the 600's range. And that's on it's own by vacuum draw. For any induction system to be a benefit, you want to cram a lot more air than the engine can do on it's own. Smog pumps really don't put out high pressure. Try it by holding your hand over the output hose with the engine running, you can hold back the air. Even if it was over-driven, it's not a high pressure pump, it's made to "inject" air.
Then there's the issue of hooking up the pump(s). What did they have, a bunch of hoses plumped to the intake? And mounting 4-8 smog pumps to the engine, that's the picture I really gotta see.

Got to use 6 of the newer electric smog pumps, then you will have something almost as good as an electric supercharger. Total boost 0.0001 PSI.

Maybe him and the DEI guy (direct exhaust injection) should get together. I bet they could come up with something really great
