And finaly the NINJA ADMIN IS LURKING AROUND HERE SOME WHERE............ DONT FORGET ABOUT HIS NINJA STARS[X(]. THATS RIGHT SPEC I HAVE NOT FORGOTEN ABOUT MY STARS. [:@]

i thought he was calling me out on acting immature. sorry we follow the rules...and to answer your question...the 10 bolt can last a while...it just depends on how many hard launches you throw at it. if you're SERIOUSLY going to be making that much power, you might as well invest in a 9" or 12 bolt cause you're going to snap that 10 bolt in a hurry

Easy hammer . As said above it does depend on how hard you are launching and what kind of traction you are getting. If you are running 555rs or MT streets you will probaly be ok for a while. If you are running stickys with hard launches then its probaly only a matter of time. You can also build the stock 10 bolt preety good with beefed up axles and a good set of gears. However once again if you plan on launching 500+ horses on slicks at 3500rpm's every weekend i would go with the 12 bolt or a Dana if you have the budget.

WARNING DONT DO AS I DO.
I am still running the stock 4L60(only a matter of time)and stock 10 bolt. So far the 10 bolt has held up very well. For some reasons the 10 bolt in the automatics tends to hold up to track abuse a little better then it does on the M6 cars. If you are running the 4L60 your transmission is going to be a issue before your 10 bolt will. Once again a lot depends on how much traction and what kind of rpm your stall or clutch will allow you to let go with.

You have to think about it. The higher your stall or clutch allows you to let go the more power is flowing to the rear wheels. When you have poor traction your tires spin or you have to keep a light foot to the point you can apply the full power of the engine resulting in less shock to the drive train. Now you take that same engine and same launch RPM and add slicks with perfect hook. Now your transmission to your rear is filling all that power at once.

Hope this helps a bit.
