Nitrous on a High mileage car???
I am currently at 126,000 miles on my 2000 camaro z28 and was wondering if nitrous would destroy my car. My car runs well and my bro used to run 100 shot nitrous(what i would like to use) on it years back, but he took it out before giving the car over to me. My rear end did go out 10,000 miles ago and was replaced by a used SS's gear. Any tips would be great thanks alot.

Do a compression test and see where you land. You maybe sending your piston rings into the oil pan if you're not too careful.
This is what 150 shot of nitrous does to an LS1 with 120,000+ miles on it...

The key to keeping a LS1 happy on nitrous is all in the set up and tune. If your engine is in good shape with good oil pressure and compression then you should be golden. I ran nitrous on mine up to just under 100K and never had a problem with it. 2 Years latter i am still running the stock 346 and heads with boost and some how she is still ticking. I have heard of guys with 150K plus running `25-150 shots with no problem but the key is to start off small and work your way up with a good tuner and all the safty nets you can put in place to prevent knock.
