Default need to take a route

im all about wanting my car to be sweet as i can get it and right now im not close at all to going super turbos and nitrois but i wanted to see what i should do. so i have some questions.

1. what is harder to install, 383 stroker kit, or a turbo set up?
2. if i was to go 383 route can you instal a turbo on that also?
3.if a super charge takes 100hp from the crank to run it whats the point in having one if it takes so much power?
4.can a turbo or super charger be put on without modding the insides of the engine? some cars are strong enough to handle the power is ours? (i have an lt1)

ive search all this annd cant find answers needed so can somone help me out plz thank you

1. About the same amount of work, but differnt kind of work.
2. Yes, if it is built to handle a supercharger
3. Depends on what type of supercharger you are using. Some are much more efficient than others, but the power increase is always greater then the power they draw.
4. The stock LT1 is not the ideal engine to supercharge, due to its high compression. However, with proper tuning it will take a 6 to 8 lb of boost and stay in one piece.

You can buy a complete stroker engine (short blocks are pretty inexpensive) and it is easy to install and reliable.

There is no replacement for displacement. Extra cubes are the most satisfying mod you can make, period.

Default RE: need to take a route

well i guess thats what ill be doing then, i wanted to do it my self to learn and all but i guess i can always screw around with my stock engine when its out.
i was on ebay looking at alot of those 383 stroke engines and i see some rated at 400-450-500hp. if i was to get like a 400hp one how would i get it to 500hp what are they missing that the other has? if i do get a stroker engine then when i get it i could then instal a turbo or s/c on it without rippin it apart! here are my questions now:
how much boost you think the strokers can hadle?
is ebay the cheapest place to get a stroker engine?
what does the 500hp engine got that the 400 one dont?(i can probably add the extra 100 myself fer cheaper meybe)
thanks guy been alot of help!
