Default RE: basic turbo questions

i wont pretend that i know everything about turbos but i have done a fair bit of reserch on them while looking into forced induction kits on my car and here is what ive learned for the most part

you can make much more power with a turbo than you can with a super charger they dont come stock like that but it is fairly simple to ajust to boost up

as far as price for the turbo charger itself ive seen 2.5-3 grand range now most super chargers range from 3.5-4.5 k but to go along with the turbo due to the heat that it generates you will need support mods such asa intercooler thusly after all is said and done the supercharger is generally cheaper

as mentioned before turbo chargers generate alot of heat which can be very damaging to you engine to your engine if its not built to take it

addtionally turbo even the most modern ones are affected by turbo lag basically until the air moving through the system creates enough pressure to spin the turbo you will get no boost so superchargers however are belt driven so create power thru the entire powerband

as for miles per gallon that will depend upon the amount of boost your running more boost more air forced in more fuel nessecary
